The Emily Hotel is located in Chicago’s fast-growing Fulton Market Historic District and is comprised of 159 guest rooms and 5 event venues. This new building borrows from the past by restoring one component of the historic façade and blending a new modern industrial building to replace the old machine building that once occupied the space. 

The new building is tiered over 7 stories and is set on deep caissons. The building design utilized a two-way slab with drop panels to minimized long term deflections while also expressing the industrial modernism of original era for the building from the New Bauhaus establishment of 1937. 

The 5th floor terrace features a landscaped terrace with unobstructed views of downtown Chicago making a striking home for residents and travelers alike to the Fulton Market District. The project is located immediately adjacent to FSE project 1K Fulton (Google Headquarters).
